Groovy Friday – Rooftop-A-Go-Go Redux

It’s a comedy. Sounds like a laugh riot.

It’s Friday!

This clip was posted here over two years ago during the early days of Groovy Friday. Back then I didn’t write much about the clips. In fact, I wrote nothing. Allow me to correct that this week.

So, here we go. Let’s see. Hmm.

Well, there doesn’t seem to be much information I can uncover about this clip. The best I can do is provide the plot of the Greek film it comes from, “Mia Ellinida Sto Xaremi.”

This, from IMDb:

“Poor Rena tries to find money to pay her lottery partner because she destroyed the wining lottery-ticket. She and her brothers who try to help her end up in harem.”

It’s a comedy. Sounds like a laugh riot.

Have a groovy weekend!

Harriet Tubman is one of America’s most beloved historical figures but has sadly been largely relegated to just a few facts during Black History Month. This incredible ex-slave, spy, cook, nurse, public speaker and rescuer deserves a story worthy of her stature.

“Minty” – tentatively titled after Tubman’s nickname – is a “reimagining” of Harriet Tubman as an action hero. It is a period piece with a modern flare.
