Joia Monet – Fit & Flare Dress

Finding an outfit, complete with shoes and accessories, for under $50 isn’t as defeating as it sounds!

Nordstrom Rack has become one of my favorite places to shop lately! I rarely step foot in their stores, so scrolling through tons of items on their website is what I prefer. While they always have great deals, I can never bring myself to not shop anywhere but their clearance section – so many gems!

Last September, I bought this mint, sleeveless dress for $29.40. Can you believe Love…Ady had this originally selling for over $100?! When I saw the back of it, I could not pass it up. Two snaps!!

The model in the picture wore a pair of nude heels, which gave it a classy look, but by now you all should know me better than that! Because of the simplicity of this dress, I chose to style it with these funky, multicolored wedges I purchased from the Goodwill.

This clutch is from Last Chance – the only Nordstrom store I visit. It’s big enough to carry my necessities and perfectly matched my shoes! Tassels are a major trend this season, so when I saw these $10 mustard earrings at Burlington’s, there was no question that they’d be leaving with me.

I just spent some money on a few more pieces from Nordstrom Rack that I’m uber excited to share with you all! They will be coming soon, so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it. As always, shop smart, get creative, and stay true to you!!

Harriet Tubman is one of America’s most beloved historical figures but has sadly been largely relegated to just a few facts during Black History Month. This incredible ex-slave, spy, cook, nurse, public speaker and rescuer deserves a story worthy of her stature.

“Minty” – tentatively titled after Tubman’s nickname – is a “reimagining” of Harriet Tubman as an action hero. It is a period piece with a modern flare.
