Joia Monet: Floral & Crochet & Floral – Oh My!

Every few months, I shop the clearance Nordstrom Rack section via their online site – nordstromrack.com. With prices as low as $5 for gorgeous evening clutches, I always end up with a bulk of items in order to take advantage of their free shipping for orders over $100. In November, one of my purchases was this lace-up back crochet crop top by Whyte Eyelash. The original cost was $108, but I only paid $39.97. With only a few days left in the winter season, I purposely looked for clothing I could wear in the upcoming spring and summer.

Shopping tip – You’ll always find great sale/clearance prices for the spring/summer season during fall/winter and vice versa. It’s okay to grab that wool sweater, while enjoying the 70-degree weather. This also cuts down on any unnecessary spending!

This floral-print pleated skirt is from H&M. I did pay full price for it – $40. Oh come on! There was only one left in my size! What do you expect from me?! These lovely pair of floral-print boots belong to my younger sister, and she informed me that she got them from DD’s Discounts – think of Ross – for around $15; they’re the knock-off version to Dr. Marten’s shoes that are sold at a near $150! We don’t play in this family!

This look is a perfect mix between girly-girl and laid back. Dressing down an outfit that was meant to be the opposite is sometimes the better choice. Don’t be afraid to switch it up from time to time. You never know what you might create and who you may inspire! Until next time, shop smart, get creative, and always stay true to you!
