Midnight Movie Cowboys Present: “Best Of — VHS Memories”

The guys are still on their Christmas and end-of year-break and recharging period, but they left me a wonderful show from a couple of years back. When you listen to it, you might feel the warm rush of nostalgia, the sharp pangs of guilt because you were not kind and did not rewind, or a lot of confusion because you have no idea what a “videotape” is. In any case, this ought to be entertaining. The MMC crew will be back before you can miss them, but until then, listen in!

Be sure to visit the Midnight Movie Cowboys’ web site and subscribe to their iTunes feed!

Harriet Tubman is one of America’s most beloved historical figures but has sadly been largely relegated to just a few facts during Black History Month. This incredible ex-slave, spy, cook, nurse, public speaker and rescuer deserves a story worthy of her stature.

“Minty” – tentatively titled after Tubman’s nickname – is a “reimagining” of Harriet Tubman as an action hero. It is a period piece with a modern flare.
