Our playlist this weekend celebrates the funky bass work of Tina Weymouth, one of the finest bass players whose name you probably have never known. The Talking Heads have changed their musical style several times, as you’d expect any group headed by David Byrne and produced in their early days by Brian Eno. No matter how the music flowed, though, Weymouth’s bass was always its vital center.
