This week Sarah sits down with Anthony Oliveri to talk about his “dystopian dreamscape” audio drama 2298. Sarah and Anthony, along with dozens of other podcasters, are pushing the boundaries of what podcasts can bring to your ears. In many ways, podcasts are winding radio backwards, from “Morning Zoo” ensemble talk shows to individuals ranting from behind a microphone to full-on dramatic productions complete with sound effects and deep casts. It is endlessly interesting to see what people bring from the past, improve upon, then present to us in new and wonderful forms. Anthony is one of those people making this old format new again, so listen in!
