  1. November Seventeen:
I have informed Freddie that his latest name for our great invention has been rejected by my dear wife Mary.
Whilst *Underground Tubular* seems to me an entirely apt name for a transportation system which utilizes hidden corridors beneath the city, Mary remains deeply troubled.
Her own words…”You’ve seen what the rabble did to the fine German word *Unterseeboot*.”
    “Albert, they’re calling it a U-Boat!”
She simply will not countenance the possibility of Frederick’s affectation being bastardized to U-Tubular or even worse U-Tube.
    I must agree.
Such an unchristian sounding word must NEVER enter the English lexicon!
